What We Offer

Three ways we can help your family

Each programme is designed around a different stage of what families face when an estate needs attention. No two households are the same, and these sessions reflect that.

Papers being sorted into labelled groups

Why Almonry

How we approach this work

Paperwork separated by purpose

We distinguish records that still carry administrative weight from those that carry family weight, and treat both with appropriate attention.

A keepsake register from the start

Family-value documents receive their own list from the first session, so they are never accidentally discarded during a busy clearing period.

Appointment-ready document sets

We prepare each set for the offices that typically request them, indexed and complete, so your family can present documents without last-minute assembly.

Translation coordination handled

Where translations are needed for Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin or other languages, we coordinate this as part of the programme scope.

We say clearly what we do not do

Our work is informational and organisational. Where a matter requires a lawyer, a commissioner or a financial institution, we say so plainly and note which kind of firm to seek.

Archive that outlasts the process

The Household Closure Programme ends with a permanent family archive in both printed and digital form — a record that remains useful long after the administrative period closes.

Would it help to speak with someone first?

There is no obligation in making contact. We are happy to hear where your family is in the process and describe which of our programmes, if any, would be a useful fit.

Common Questions

Questions families often raise

What exactly does Almonry do?

We provide informational and organisational support with estate-related paperwork. This means helping families sort documents, prepare the sets that offices request, coordinate translations and attestations, and establish an archive that keeps records accessible. We do not offer legal, financial or representation services — where those are needed, we say so.

Do you work at the family home or from your office?

The Cabinet Sorting Session can be conducted at the family home or at our Puchong office, depending on where the documents are. The Administrative Set Preparation and Household Closure Programme involve a mix of on-site and office-based work, with accompaniment visits built into the longer programme.

How soon after a bereavement can families contact you?

There is no prescribed timing. Some families get in touch within weeks; others contact us months later when they have capacity to begin. We work to whatever schedule suits the household and do not apply pressure about when to start.

What is the keepsake register?

The keepsake register is a catalogue of documents that carry family significance — correspondence, photographs, handwritten records, certificates of personal importance — distinct from the papers that government offices or financial institutions need. It ensures that meaningful records are identified and preserved rather than discarded inadvertently during a house clearance.

Can you handle documents in Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin?

Yes. Translation coordination is included in both the Administrative Set Preparation and Household Closure Programme. We work with translators experienced in estate and civil documentation and include translations in the prepared sets where the receiving office requires them.

What is the cost, and are there payment arrangements?

The Cabinet Sorting Session is RM 620, the Administrative Set Preparation is RM 1,540 and the Household Closure Programme is RM 4,410. We are glad to discuss how payment for the longer programme can be structured across its duration. Please contact us to talk through what works for your family.

How do you handle the personal information in the documents you see?

We treat all documents and personal data with discretion and handle information only as needed to complete the agreed scope of work. Our privacy practices are described in our Privacy Policy. We do not retain copies of documents after a programme concludes without the family's written agreement.
