About Almonry

A practice built around what families actually need when a home holds an estate file

Our Story

How Almonry came to be

Almonry grew out of a straightforward observation: when a family is dealing with a bereavement and a home clearance at the same time, the paperwork does not wait. Government offices send letters. Banks request documents. Solicitors need copies that must be attested. And in the middle of all this, a household full of papers — some administrative, some irreplaceable — requires sorting before the house can be handed back or sold.

We opened in Puchong because we noticed that families in the Klang Valley faced this combination with very little support that was specific to the documentary side of the process. Legal firms handle estates, financial institutions handle accounts, but the work of actually sorting the papers, preparing the sets, coordinating the translations and building the archive often fell to family members who were already carrying a great deal.

The word almonry refers historically to the office in a household responsible for keeping and distributing documents and records. We chose it because it describes precisely what we do: we hold the administrative function so that the family can attend to what matters most to them.

Our work is informational and organisational. We do not offer legal advice, we do not represent families before official bodies, and we do not act as financial intermediaries. Where those services are needed, we say so plainly and indicate what kind of professional to seek. This boundary is important to us, and we maintain it in every programme we offer.

Mission

What we set out to do, in plain terms

Order from the start

Documents separated by purpose from the first session, so nothing useful is discarded and nothing meaningful is treated as administration.

Sets ready to present

When an office requests documents, the package is already prepared, attested, translated and indexed — ready to hand over without last-minute assembly.

A record that outlasts the process

The estate file closes. The family archive does not. We build something that remains useful and accessible long after the administrative period ends.

Our Standards

How we approach the work

Scope stated clearly

Every engagement begins with a written description of what is included. We do not expand scope without discussion and agreement.

Personal data handled with care

Documents and personal information are accessed only as required for the agreed programme. We do not retain copies after a programme concludes without written consent.

Attested copies verified

Attested copies within prepared sets are checked against current office requirements before delivery. Replacement service included if a set is retained.

Translations coordinated properly

We work with translators experienced in estate documentation rather than using general translation services, and verify suitability for the intended office.

Boundaries observed

We note clearly when a matter requires a lawyer, a licensed estate administrator, a financial institution or another professional, and do not substitute informational support for those services.

Archival-grade materials

Physical archives in the Household Closure Programme use acid-free storage and archival-grade labelling to protect originals over the long term.

Our Expertise

Estate document support in the Klang Valley

Families managing an estate file in Malaysia often find that the documentary requirements are substantial — from death registration and grant of probate correspondence to financial account notifications, property title matters and, throughout, the need to present attested document sets to multiple offices in sequence. The administrative burden sits alongside grief and household clearing, and the combination is demanding.

Almonry works specifically with this combination. Our Cabinet Sorting Session addresses the immediate challenge of a household full of papers that need to be separated by purpose before anything else can happen. Our Administrative Set Preparation addresses the downstream challenge of offices requiring documents. Our Household Closure Programme addresses the full arc, from sorting through archive establishment.

We serve families in Puchong, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya and across the greater Klang Valley. Sessions at the family home are available within a reasonable travel range of our Jalan Puteri office. Where travel is not practical, arrangements can be made to work from documentation that has been delivered to the office.

Our values are straightforward: be clear about what we do and what we do not do, work at a pace that suits the family, and produce paperwork that is well-organised and professionally presented. We do not make representations about outcomes of estate administration — that responsibility lies with the legal and financial professionals who handle those aspects.
